We collect the following types of information when you use Lovinia:

Profile Information

•Name, age, and gender.

•Photos you upload to your profile.

•Bio text, job title, company, and conversation prompts you provide.

•Dinner preferences such as preferred nights and age range.

Location Data

•Your city, used to show you relevant dinners in your area. We do not track precise GPS location.

Payment Information

•Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or banking details on our servers. We receive a limited set of billing information from Stripe (such as the last four digits of your card and billing address) to display in your account.

Usage Data

•How you interact with the app, including dinners booked, matches made, and messages sent.

•Device information such as operating system, app version, and crash reports to help us improve the service.

Identity Verification

•Information submitted during age and identity verification, processed securely and retained only as long as necessary to confirm eligibility.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

•Operate and maintain the Lovinia service, including arranging dinners and facilitating matches.

•Process your subscription payments and manage your account.

•Display your profile to other dinner attendees.

•Send you important service notifications such as booking confirmations, match alerts, and account updates.

•Improve the app experience through analytics and usage patterns (aggregated and anonymized where possible).

•Enforce our Terms of Service, including investigating reports of misconduct.

•Comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

•Stripe:We share necessary information with Stripe to process your subscription payments. Stripe's handling of your data is governed by their privacy policy.

•Other users: Your profile information (name, age, photos, bio) is visible to other users attending the same dinner. Chat messages are shared only with your matched partners.

•Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

•Service providers: We may use trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, push notifications) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. Chat messages are automatically deleted 7 days after the chat window expires. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (such as payment transaction history).

5. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

•Access: You can view all personal data we hold about you through your profile settings.

•Correction: You can update your profile information at any time.

•Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from the Profile settings. We will process the deletion within 30 days.

•Export: You can request a copy of your data in a portable format from the Privacy section of your Profile.

•Withdraw consent: You can withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

•Lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your data is being mishandled.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure authentication, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Lovinia is strictly for users aged 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 21. If we discover that a user is under 21, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.

8. International Data Transfers

Lovinia is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using Lovinia, you consent to such transfers in accordance with this policy.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
